It cascades grandly over the edge of space, only to fall to the green depths of the lake below. Worn into the base of this cliff is a cave, where crabs scuttle upside down on the ceiling and a small colony of fruit bats nestles in the back. The area right beneath the falls is extremely deep, made so by years of erosion, but the water around it is almost as shallow as a marsh, allowing tall cattails to survive and alligators and ducks to make their nests.

Most dogs find their way easily through the labyrinth, because some are large enough to jump the wall and strut on top of them while other use their noses to find their way to the playground. This play area comes with everything any child can imagine, but doggy style. Often used for agility training, there are walls to climb, seesaws to walk on, A-frames to scurry along, Os to leap through and tunnels to dive into. Looking quite modern with it's varying styles located around the house and within each room, it was designed for comfort and for work. Appropriate for animals, mainly the dogs and their humans, the home is filled with corridors that lead to rooms and other housing areas. With a large gourmet kitchen, the dogs will never go hungry and with an entertainment center for an attic, rarely will there be absolutely nothing to do. The mansion canines have unlimited access inside, reaching as far as they can even into the cages themselves but they are obedient and intelligent, no one will escape. A winding path snakes through the zoo, finding its way around every exhibit with twisting tunnels and elevated bridges over ponds until it reaches the mansion itself. The exact type of apple grown here is indefinite, but it tastes like a mix between a Granny Smith and a Pink Lady. The loose poultry that roams around the house and even the dogs are free to the fallen apples, but they are expected to stay away when the pickers come in September. This leaves the dilapidated barn to whomever wants it, whether it's a gang of miscreant teens or a pack of vicious street dogs. Contrary to popular belief, the pound is the better place to get a dog although it's appearance is intimidating enough to scare off many potential owners. They'll find that what lies beyond isn't all that bad. The graves are obviously crumpling with age, but all around them is carefully mowed and planted. Not surprisingly, the priest has some sins of his own; he likes to think that he makes up for those sins by tending to the graves of his forebearers, and keeping the graveyard looking nice. It also helps that he has a knack for gardening and a green thumb. Although human visitors to this forgotten garden are rare, the strays will often stop by and rest... And enjoy the priest's company.

Whether it's a drunken bee blundering from flower to flower or a lazy jackrabbit scrounging for food, the meadow is never quiet. Even in the nigh, the bats will roost temporarily in the trees. Despite this, the dogs hardly ever come here-- There's just no reason to, unless one really wants some peace and quiet under the tall soft grasses. A few indents in the ground provide nifty little ponds for the dogs to drink and without the traffic roaring this way, this is a peaceful place to have pups.

It's rumored that the wolves often patrol the mountain sides in search of other lupine that have been able to escape the grasp of those tall peaks, but so far no one knows. But on the roots of the mountains, it is a rough and rocky terrain but an ideal arena for training and exercise. Although beware of the striking rattlesnakes and other wild creatures that lurk here, lumbering towards the lake in search of a meal.

Wide cement steps lead up to the double doors of the apartments from the bustling sidewalks, where tourists snap pictures and sigh in admiration of the all-around architecture. Some of the apartment dwellers own dogs, but they are rarely seen. A skinny Persian cat usually hangs out by one of the apartment doors, waiting to be fed by some generous bypasser.

There was also the death of Alex Simms, after he "fell" to his death when he was innocently doing some repair work in one of the sewer's abyss-like shafts. The county didn't want the media to get a wift of that story, so they glossed over it and shut down the sewers even sooner. Now wilderness is allowed to roam the rat-infested, dark, dreary, drippy, and overall depressing tunnels. The only way for a dog to access the sewers is through an opening in the construction site, but then again... Who would really want to go down there anyway?

There is an porta-potty near by, perfect with it's blue liquid for pranks. There are tools and nails lying around, so careful where your paws tread. This is a desolate and abandoned area, almost similar to a junkyard with the exception that no human ever visits here except for the occasional troublemaker. There is graffiti on the wall and wood litters the floor, otherwise this makes fine shelter for the stray dog or a wolf wandering beyond their boundaries.

Humans linger, cooing and petting potential pets, crowding around so that it's an easy way through to the dog park owned by the store. Mainly dogs are bought and sold here, sometimes strays sneak in to go to the dog park to play around with the little tame dogs. In the park there are many large trees that shade benches built around them, perfect for an owner to sit and watch their dog interact with others. In addition, little pooping stations dot the area with signs following owners to command that their park remain "clean".

It's hard to find a more suitable animal hospital than this one. Whether the animal seeking care is an ocelot, a goat, or a chihuahua, the veterinary hospital has the capability and knowledge to handle and care for them. There are numerous wards, including the avian and reptile ward, and emergency ward, and the wing designated to regular vaccinations and check-ups. The building is bustling with scientists and veterinarians around the clock, and vet students from all of the surrounding universities flock here to observe and operate. All in all the building is a very vast and confusing place, intimidating to almost every animal.

This staduim can hold several thousand, but most of the time only a few people sit in the concrete stands. The elevated seats look down on a dirt stage, smaller than a football field but larger than you'd expect. It's easy for a dog to get into the arena. The local strays often take advantage of the stadium since it offers good coverage from the rain.

Tourists are drawn like flies to the shady outdoor umbrellas set over benches. People bustle about with their shopping bags and noisy children, cameras hanging from their necks, all year 'round. It's easy for a dog to blend in with the crowds, as long as he's not too scruffy-looking. Large groups of dogs would likely be targeted by animal control if they were kept unchecked.

Inhabbiting the flower-lined brick building are a few over-worked, grizzled police men and their over-worked, grizzled dogs. Well maybe that's a bit of an overstatement, but one gets the point. Inside are multiple offices, a maze like hall leading to all of them until it reaches the back office where the meeting room and the dining hall are placed. The entire region is taken care of by this single police station and the military base, although the two are secretly untrusting of eachother for some reason. The back of the station is where the prison along with the kennels are, for canines and humans alike captured by the officers.

Most of this activity, whatever it was, was illegal, and when the local authorities found out about it they were quick to shut the place down. Now the building sits forgotten between the housing and the aquarium, isolated because one must take a washed-out, winding road down cliffs to get to it. For dogs, however, it's easy to scale the cliffs and get into the unlocked building. Although it's rather drafty and chilly it's a nice haunt for any dogs yearning seclusion. Beside it an wrecked ship, lodged right between the shore and the water is wedged slightly underneath the port. It is easily reached through the factory, where it had crashed into years ago after it was closed.

The ocean is particularly harsh along this beach, roaring in and pounding the rocky terrain with no mercy. The shoreline is almost always misty and shrouded in fog, leaving it cold and mysterious and almost void of any tourists. Many treasures often wash up on these shores. In fact this beach became famous when a couple years ago a famous person's body got washed up into its rocky crags.

Their weathered fronts are magnificent and obviously high class, though why anyone would pay to live along such a gloomy beach is unknown. The row of stately houses stretches as far as the cliff goes, for a block or two, and there is only one row. A network of trails and stairways leaves from the back doors of each house down the cliff and to the beach if anyone suddenly wants to get a better view of the sea, but the houses' inhabitants usually prefer to go shopping in the town or stay snug in their warm, overly-expensive houses.

These docks are rather sprawling and bustling, since they are the only sea port leading to the city. All sorts of boats dock here, from small cruise ships to Alaskan fishing trollers to barges. People, seagulls, fish, cats, rodents, pigeons, and everything else crowd the docks. The stench is terrible. During the day the activity never stops and it's hard for a stray to get around, but once the sun sets the activity ceases and the animals are free to roam. The shore under the docks is where dogs usually gather, since that's where a lot of the garbage ends up.

![[ ]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w73/Muttlies/FOR_CRYPT/1a422465.gif) | Coastal Aquarium and Caves Set back into a quieter cove than the Misty Shoreline just outside of the city is a new aquarium bustling with tourists and various marine animals. The building was constructed a few years ago to attract tourists to the area, and it seems like they were sucessful. On a nice day the people may even wander down to the beach, which is sandier than the shoreline. The main aquarium building is huge with many winding halls and exhibits that are easy to get lost in but fascinating nonetheless. A catwalk leads out of the building and into a tunnel, which ends up inside a cavern. In this cavern is a ledge where tourists can stand and peer into a water-filled abyss, where sea lions and seals usually can be found hanging out on the rocks by the thousands. Although the sea lion caves are rather smelly and loud, the humans seem to find joy in them.
